Job Summary

Our Cincinnati, OH facility is seeking a Production Supervisor who has a solid history of success in a custom machine assembly environment. This position will report directly to the Plant Manager and lead a team of hourly associates in efficiently manufacturing quality products in a Lean environment.

Essential Functions

  • Supervise the machine assembly team adhering to established production schedules.
  • Maintain product quality in accordance with established standards.
  • Ensure compliance with United Steel Workers labor contract.
  • Identify root cause of issues and coordinate permanent corrective action.
  • Utilize lean manufacturing methodologies to identify and eliminate waste, improve customer satisfaction, and manage performance measurement systems to track actual performance.
  • Participate in the hiring of shop associates in cooperation with manufacturing management and the Human Resources Department.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and recommend ways of increasing productivity through improved methods, equipment, or other means.
  • Strong analytical and decision making skills, including conflict resolution

Education/Job Knowledge

  • 2-4 years of manufacturing supervisory experience
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four year college/university
  • Experience supervising in a union environment
  • Experience implementing 5S
  • Working knowledge Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Familiarity with Lean concepts and principles
  • Ability to develop, plan, organize, and manage multiple priorities
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, ERP systems, etc.
