ROTEX and APEX 70 Series Slide Bearing Upgrade

April 4, 2024

Rotex Global, a leader in industrial screeners and separators, continues to lead industrial screening with updates and equipment designed to meet your industry’s specific needs.

From light-duty food to heavy-duty minerals, our screeners, sifters, and separators are designed with years of lab testing and field experience to provide the efficiency and longevity you would expect from heavy-duty equipment.

While we design our machines to last, technology is constantly changing and giving us opportunities to improve on existing equipment, most recently including upgrades to the Rotex and Apex 70 series slide bearing. This new design will enhance the machine’s lifespan and simplify its operation and maintenance, resulting in a more convenient and clean experience.

The upgraded slide bearing assembly features include:

Rotex and APEX 70 series slide bearing upgrade

  • Reduced ball wear and weight with specific MOC (Material of Construction)
  • Available for 70 Series Rotex and Apex Models
  • Direct replacement without modification

The upgraded slide bearing assembly for both the Rotex and Apex 70 series screeners come with several benefits to customers as well:

  • Longer Life
  • Grease free – clean and safe environment
  • Weight reduction for all components
  • Easy to install without shimming – bolt on and go
  • Drop-in replacement (70 Series models only)
  • Increased uptime, less maintenance

The Rotex® industrial separator with automatic tensioning delivers on-spec product with less rejection of good materials for increased profits. Rotex endures today as the industry standard, thanks to countless applications in the toughest conditions around the world.

The APEX™ industrial screener provides extremely precise separations due to its Gyratory Reciprocating Motion and sleek ergonomic design. It enables one-person inspections and maintenance. Increase plant safety while decreasing downtime with APEX.

For both the Rotex and Apex 70 series screeners, the Gyratory Reciprocating Motion gradually transitions along the length of the screening machine, starting off as purely gyratory motion at the head, then moving to elliptical movement in the center and reverting back to reciprocating toward the end:

  1. Circular motion at feed end
    • Spreads the material across the full width of the screen surface
    • Stratifies the material
    • Aggressively conveys material forward
  2. Changing to elliptical motion at center
    • Long-stroke elliptical action
    • Enhances product stratification
    • Conveys material at high capacity
  3. Reciprocating motion at discharge end
    • Removes near-size particles
    • Improves screening efficiency
    • No vertical component ensures material is in constant contact with the screen surface
