What’s new at Rotex and in the industrial separation equipment industry?
Rotex unveils new increased capacity materials testing laboratory
ROTEX proudly completed renovation of their new laboratory at the company’s USA Head Office in Cincinnati, Ohio last month. The newly refurbished facility will increase the laboratory’s testing capacity and ensure Rotex continues to provide fast and accurate results to meet their many customer’s needs.
The fully-equipped materials testing lab now includes two new APEX screeners; a cleanable APEX which is used for customer witnessed testing and displaying the benefits of the Cleanable APEX line and an APEX designed with an aspiration discharge chute which is hooked up to an in-house aspirator to allow testing of various aspiration efficiencies. The lab also contains a traditional Rotex General Purpose unit and a brand new Coperion K-tron Belt feeder that can be used on all three machines to allow Rotex to feed any material with precise pour times leading to more accurate results. Rotex also invested in the latest version of a Tyler Ro-Tap for sieve analysis which simulates what is used in the field more closely, allowing for more accurate analysis of material.
The renovated facility provides Rotex’s industry renowned testing center with a range of high-tech equipment that is both capable and reliable for the high demand of test requests they receive. Austin Kephart, Rotex Group Marketing Manager commented “At Rotex, we have more than doubled our business in the past 10 years and as you’d expect that means twice as many lab tests. We are now consistently issuing over 300 different sample I.D. numbers per year. Therefore, as Rotex continues to grow and maintain our status as the world’s leader in dry separation equipment it requires investments back into the company, more specifically into our lab testing facility.”
Rotex’s primary focus is to provide a high level of customer service and satisfaction, both of which have been at the heart of the laboratory renovation project. The improvements that have been made to the testing facility will ensure that Rotex can continue to deliver to their customers the best experience in the industry.
